Dr Raj literally saved my life. He discovered a deep ulcer that had already “eaten” thru several layers of my stomach lining. What’s extraordinary is that I was under the care of a different Gastro doc in Denton for years and the old doc changed my PPI to an OTC, Zegerid, a year and a half ago. He said it would be better for me because I could take it “Any time, With or Without Food”. I had already had 2 “SILENT” ulcers over the years before I moved to Texas and it was noted in my chart. I was on that for a year following his instructions and I did take it “any time, with or without food“. After about a year I started having some trouble with my stomach and during an ofc call I asked him to do a couple of tests, first a CT to see what was going on. He said, and I quote, “I don’t do tests just because a patient requests it.” Unquote! I remember his exact words bc they were so startling. I asked a couple more questions about my stomach and doing those tests… and Dr Arora said… “I have other patients to see”… and he got up and left the room!! Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. As soon as I got home I started a search for a new Gastro doc. I talked to everyone I knew that had a Gastro doc, and I read every review I could find and I even did a Google search for Gastro docs in the Denton area. I got several recommendations for Denton Digestive Institute, Dr Raj, so I called for an appt. Not realizing what a call there is for gastroenterologists in this area, I couldn’t get an appt for anything until June, and this was March. All this time I was still taking the Zegerid daily “any time, with or without food”. I went to the appt, and Dr Raj listened to all my complaints
